Anecdotal Lead,
This is a lot like a story, Engaging the leader emotionally it illustrates a story or small portion of the large article, Thus impacting the reader, Anecdotal uses humor or an interesting incident about a person.
Contrast Lead,
his is typically written in 2 parallel paragraph one states the ''before'' and the other the ''after'', it could also contrast size, age, intensity etc.
Stacato Lead,
Refered to as a series of rapid words , creating a visual of a scene or incident.The words create a context but do not create the meaning of the article
Quote Lead,
This is a not from a famous person, but from someone involved with the case or an expert on the topic, someone said something Awesome !
Note - the quote has to be GREAT to draw in a reader, a sub par quote will not keep your Audience.
Question Lead,
Is when the first sentence of a news article is a question ,usually these are considered cliche.
